Background Non-surgical treatment has generally been recommended for stage II medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) in preference to surgery. However, non-surgical treatment is not empirically effective. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether surgical or non-surgical treatment leads to better outcomes for stage II MRONJ. Aims: Previously, we have reported an association between clozapine use and elevated FL3 neutrophil fluorescence, a flow-cytometric parameter for cell viability. Here, we developed and evaluated a pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic model relating FL3-fluorescence to clozapine exposure and derived a nomogram for estimation of long-term adherence. Objective: In the recent years, an increasing number of peri-implant medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (PI-MRONJ) have been reported in literature, both in oncologic and osteoporotic patients.
